As directed by the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (“PURA”), the Connecticut Green Bank, Eversource Energy, and United Illuminating have convened a Bidirectional Electric Vehicle Working Group. This working group coalition consists of state agencies, utilities, vehicle manufacturers, and VPP operators. Our effort is dedicated to developing actionable recommendations to incorporate electric vehicles into Connecticut’s Energy Storage Solutions program. Bidirectional EV Working Group – Meeting 1: Kickoff & Framing, Friday, March 6 from 9 am – 10:30 am
The Connecticut Green Bank, Eversource Energy, United Illuminating, and Customized Energy Solutions invite you to the first meeting of the Bidirectional EV Working Group, convened pursuant to PURA’s December 2025 Final Decision in Docket No. 25-08-05. This kickoff session will orient participants to the Working Group’s purpose, scope, and process, and establish a shared foundation for the substantive work ahead.
Topics will include an overview of PURA’s charge and project timeline, the Working Group charter and participation structure, the Energy Storage Solutions Program, vehicle grid integration concepts and terminology, relevant Innovative Energy Solutions pilots, and the division of scope between this Working Group and the Interconnection Working Group. The session will also include discussion of topics for subsequent meetings.
