Performance Incentives paid for Active Dispatch can vary significantly based on battery degradation, discharge limitations set by the manufacturer or operator, customer participation and opt-out, weather events, and system design. This estimate is based on an annual battery degradation rate of 2.5%, an 80% depth of discharge, a 75% participation rate, and an average event duration of 2.5 hours.
This program is overseen by the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA), is paid for by electric ratepayers, and is administered by the Connecticut Green Bank, Eversource, and UI.
